Starting your secondary journey in the right place.

Middle School at NCC is a great place for students to immerse themselves in a new stage of co-curricular and learning activities. We welcome you to our Middle School.

If you have more than one child starting at NCC, we recommend you check the relevant information located in the other sub-school sections.

  • Middle School Assemblies

    Middle School assemblies are held on Tuesday Period 3 each week. All students meet in either the Amphitheatre for a full Middle School assembly or for a House assembly:

    • Benjamin House – Dance Studio
    • Dan House – G3 Drama classroom
    • Judah House – C3 classroom
    • Levi House – Lecture Theatre

    This assembly time is sometimes used for mentor groups where students meet with their mentor teachers in a classroom. These teachers are assigned as part of the student’s timetable at the commencement of the school year.

  • Chapel

    Chapel is held up at the Church every Monday period 3.

  • The Heads of House

    The Heads of House remain with their house allocation through Years 7-9. They are located in the Lecture Theatre staffroom. In 2025, each Head of House will take turns as Deputy Head of Middle School per term. Tim Andrew will replace them as Head of House in the term they serve as Deputy Head.

  • Late to school

    Students late for school need to go to the Student Reception to have their attendance recorded and receive a late slip.

  • Middle School Orientation Day

    Nambour Christian College welcomes students who are new to Middle School in 2025 to an Orientation Morning.

    This program will assist students in the transition to Middle School. The details are below.

    WEDNESDAY 27 November 2024
    8.45am – 11.30am
    • Meet at the Amphitheatre at 8.45am
    • Introduction to Middle School staff
    • Teachers take students on a tour of the College facilities
    • Experience Middle School lessons
    • Meet other students
    • Sausage sizzle
    • Students are to wear the current school uniform

    Parents are encouraged to drop off and return to pick up students 11.15am – 11.45am. Should parents wish to stay at the College, we invite parents to visit the NCC Café for a complimentary beverage in the outdoor Café seating area.

    If you miss this Orientation Day, we look forward to welcoming you to NCC on the first day of the school year or whenever you arrive.

  • Family Admin Day – Thursday 23 January 2025

    This is an important day to assist families preparing for the new school year. You can attend at any time that suits between 7.00am and 3.00pm. Below are the items that you can do.

    1. Collect textbooks
    2. Collect student devices
    3. Locker and training on how to use the padlock
    4. View class lists

    We will have staff available in sport, music, VET/Careers, as well as our Bus Operations Manager should any of these areas be of interest to you.

    Uniforms that have been ordered may be picked up on this day, however, if you require a fitting, we suggest you book one here.

    Please bring a school bag to place books and laptop in.

  • Student Onboarding Morning – for students commencing Term 2, 3 or 4

    This day will always be on the Thursday morning of the school holidays before the school term commences. Open from 8.00am – 12.00pm, we will onboard new students with:

    • Textbooks
    • Timetable
    • Student handbooks
    • Laptops
    • Uniforms
    • Locker and instructions on how to use it
    • Meet with the registrar department to answer any questions that they may have, and go through things, such as the NCC app

    Therefore on your first day, Middle & Senior School students will go to the Main Reception to meet with the Registrar, where you will:

    • Meet your buddy
    • Meet the year-level coordinator (Year 10-12) or Head of House (Year 7-9)
    • Go to the IT reception to get your student ID
    • Go to class
